Indiana Jones filming Glasgow: New York subway scene 'ruined' by cheeky 'bus to Blantyre' cameo

Glasgow has transformed this week, and if you stumbled down the wrong street at the right time you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd wandered into America.

Of course, this is all down to the most exciting thing to happen this summer - the filming of the fifth installment of Indiana Jones in the city.

Everyone has taken much delight in catching pics of props, extras and scenes as they happen.

But one Twitter user, @smithy94_ or 'Al', has clinched it for us all.

Sharing a picture of one of the New York subway entrances on St Vincent Street, Al wrote: "Howlin they’ve turned town Intae New York but there’s the 267 tae Blantyre ruining it."

And true enough - right behind the shot is a sly wee First Bus - that's right, it's the 267 to Blantyre.

Naturally, everyone has found this hilarious.

One user wrote: "Calling at Maddison Sq Garden, Oatlands, Central Park sorry Richmond Park and Blantyre via Times Square and Cambuslang."

Another said: "Getting home to the tyre on last bus made running away from a huge boulder look a dawdle!!!"

Even politician Monica Lennon said it made her "hit the giggles now...that’s triggered some memories"
