Indian variant warning as Covid vaccines open to people aged 32 and over in England

Coronavirus vaccines are now being rolled out to be people aged 32 and over, the NHS has confirmed.

Text messages were issued to people in that age group on Saturday, May 22, encouraging them to book in for an appointment.

The message states it is 'important to get the jab to protect yourself and your loved ones from the Indian variant'.

In Nottinghamshire there were previously three hospital hubs offering the jab, at Queen's Medical Centre, City Hospital and King's Mill Hospital.

There is also a large-scale vaccination centre at the former Wickes Building in Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield.
