Indian street food with booze-free bar is coming to Nottingham

A new Indian street food cafe with a booze-free bar will be opening soon in the heart of Hockley.

Viva is the name of the new venture in Goose Gate.

Snippets are being released on social media as a teaser. So far there's no mention of the menu just the vibe, rocking a vintage urban interior and a stripped back feel with a wooden floor, lots of natural elements and exposed brickwork.

No alcohol will be served - instead there will be artisan coffee supplied by Nottingham roasters Stewarts.

Viva will open in the former premises of two (very) short-lived foodie ventures with somewhat of an identity crisis; the Goose Gate Cafe served omelettes, wraps and Nepalese dumplings and before that the Paranormal Cafe delivered... well, we're not too sure but it wasn't around for long.

Viva's opening date has yet to be announced although the owners have said: "It's not long before we open our doors to welcome you."
