Indian street food restaurant Mowgli coming to Glasgow this summer

Great news Glasgow foodies, as it looks like independent Indian street food restaurant Mowgli will be arriving in the city this summer.

Mowgli Street Food, the brainchild of curry evangelist, food writer and Youtuber Nishal Katona, will serve up authentic eats from the subcontinent.

Having started with a Liverpool restaurant in 2014, the Glasgow eaterie is pencilled in to be their 12th location in the UK when it opens in the next few months.

This is detailed in a job advert for a new head chef position spotted by Glasgow Live on employment website Indeed, which reads: "We’re excited that Glasgow will become our 12th site in our small but fast-growing company.

"We are looking for a passionate head chef who, with the help of the openings team, can lead the Glasgow kitchen to success in summer 2020".

The news comes after owner Nishal Katona posted on Facebook in May of last year that she was thinking of opening a new restaurant in Glasgow, asking 'Glaswegian Mowglites' what street they thought would be the perfect location of the restaurant.
