All the Indians exited following their second round defeats in the Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) in Ningbo, China.

HS Prannoy, PV Sindhu and the women's duo of Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto lost their matches on Thursday. With no other big tournament before the qualifying window closes on April 28, these three along with Lakshya Sen and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will represent India at the Olympics.

There will be no Indian presence in mixed doubles at Paris. Committing a series of unforced errors in the second game, world No. 9 Prannoy lost 18-21, 11-21 to No. 19 Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei.

Though he stayed close till 7-8 in the second game, he lost his rhythm after that. He was outsmarted at the net as Lin moved to 14-10 and then from 15-11 to 21-11.

Sindhu suffered her first loss in six games to Han Yue of China 18-21, 21-13, 17-21. Sindhu was up 15-10 in the first game before Han won the next six points, three from the forehand side. Thereafter, Han maintained the momentum to take the first game.

Sindhu bounced back in the second game but lost steam in the third. Earlier, Ashwini-Tanisha, who got a walkover in the first round, lost to third seeds Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida of Japan 17-21, 12-21.
