Indian restaurant goes viral for brutal comeback to 'shameless' review

The owner of an Indian restaurant delivered a brutal put-down after an unsatisfied customer complained about an "awful lack of manners".

The review posted online also criticised the sizes of portions in the three-courses for £3.50 menu at The Shimla Cottage.

The group ordered pakora, a chicken-based main course and fudge cake for desert, reports The Daily Record .

However, the reviewer claimed the bargain price "felt like a rip-off".

This seemed to anger the owner of the Shimla, which is based just outside of Glasgow, who soon responded with a withering comeback.

The response reads: "£3.50 for three courses have you no shame?

"Judging from the waist line of most of your party I could have served them a full cow and they would still have left hungry.

"If you wanted the chicken on a sizzler and the rice in a bigger portion or the chocolate cake thick as you then you should have ordered from the main menu oh that's right that would have been to expensive.

"It's people like you who spoil a good for thing for everyone.

"Don't bother coming back!!"

The put-down was well received on Twitter, with one person saying: "Been there for the £3.50 lunch a few times. Can't beat it."

Davie Smith added: "£3.50 menu is decent, it's enough to tide you over for a lunch and the folk moaning deserve the abuse they get."
