The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is the southern hemisphere’s great annual celebration of Indian cinema. The festival presents a variety of contemporary Indian films including Bollywood hits, art house , documentaries and feature films.
Highlights include Kaaka Muttai, the story of two slum children who run off in search of pizza; Umrika, the story of a country boy who travels to America, and details his journey in letters back to his home village; and Court and Margarita with a Straw, the story of a wheelchair-bound teenager with cerebral palsy who leaves her Indian home to study in New York.
