India women's U-18 compound archers win gold in World Youth Championships

NEW DELHI: The India women's under-18 compound archery team emerged victorious in their match against the USA, securing a gold medal at the World Youth Championships in Limerick, Ireland on Thursday.

The team, consisting of Aishwarya Sharma, Aditi Swami, and Ekta Rani, staged a comeback to defeat their opponents Olivia Dean, Liko Arreola, and Leann Drake with a score of 214-212.

This victory marked India's second gold medal in the competition.

Previously, Priyansh and Avneet Kaur had secured a gold medal in the junior mixed team compound event on Wednesday.

Additionally, Manav Jadhav and Aishwarya Sharma won a bronze medal in the cadet mixed compound event by defeating Mexico.
