India vs Pakistan: India 'hammering' Pakistan in ODIs not new, it's a trend since 2015

NEW DELHI: On Saturday, India not only extended their unbeaten record against Pakistan in ODI World Cups to 8-0 but also further highlighted an ODI trend that Pakistan have failed to change against the arch-rivals in 50-over cricket overall for eight years now.

India's comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Pakistan put them on top of the 10-team table with six points from three consecutive wins.

The Indian bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, triggered a Pakistan collapse from 155/2 to 191 all out. The hosts then scampered to the target in 30.3 overs, riding on skipper Rohit Sharma's 63-ball 86 and Shreyas Iyer's 53 not out.

The big margin of defeat is a cause of worry for Babar Azam's team, as it's the seventh occasion in last eight result-oriented ODIs since 2015 that India have hammered their traditional rivals to win by a comprehensive margin.

Here's the list of India's overwhelming wins over Pakistan in ODIs since 2015:

India will next travel to Pune for their ICC World Cup match against Bangladesh on October 19, while Pakistan will face Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru.
