India vs New Zealand, 3rd Test: With series decided, MCA may offer extra tickets for sale online

MUMBAI: With New Zealand having clinched the series 2-0 by winning the second Test at Pune, the public interest level in the third and final Test between India and New Zealand, which will kick off from Nov 1 at the Wankhede Stadium, may just go down.

It may prompt the Mumbai Cricket Association to release a few extra tickets for online sale for the 'Diwali Test,' which is now a dead rubber.

"We might put up around 500 more tickets for online sale from Monday. As the series has been decided, we could be left with a few tickets which have been unutilised from our club members' quota," Mumbai Cricket Association secretary Abhay Hadap told TOI on Saturday.

The MCA had initially released 14,000 tickets for online sale from Oct 18. With the fan s expecting a decider at the Wankhede initially, almost all the online tickets were sold out quickly, with only a few high-end tickets worth Rs 25,000 still available on the ticketing platform.
