India vs England live stream — how to watch 1st Test match online 2024

England captain Ben Stokes, dressed in traditional cricket whites and pads, hits out for six ahead of the India vs England Test match 2024.

Yashasvi Jaiswal will resume his exhilarating innings on the second day of the India vs England First Test in Hyderabad two dozen runs short of his second test century. On a highly entertaining first day, on which 365 runs were scored, including seven sixes, as well 11 wickets falling, India have out-Bazballed England.

India’s bowlers have extracted more from a surface offering generous turn than England’s attack have. England won the toss and made 246, most of their batsmen getting in but only Stokes, with 70, going beyond 37. Even so, England’s 246 all out looked respectable. But India have made it look puny so far in powering to 119-1 by the close. You can watch India v England live streams from anywhere with a VPN.

With Ben Stokes unable to bowl, England have picked only one seam bowler, Mark Wood. Left arm spinner Jack Leach, who returns to the side after missing the Ashes, is joined by 19-year-old leg spinner Rehan Ahmed and 24-year-old debutant slow left-armer Tom Hartley. Spinner Shoaib Bashir, who was only granted a visa on the eve of the first Test, will join England later this week.

India, meanwhile, are without Virat Kohli for the first two Tests due to personal reasons. Skipper Rohit Sharma has opted to replace the talismanic batter with 30-year-old Rajat Patidar, who is in a rich vein of form having scored 151 against England Lions in Ahmedabad last week.

Either way, one side’s proud recent record is going to be dented over this five-match Test series. Since losing to Alastair Cook’s England in 2012, India have won every home series – 16 in all. Then again, England have not lost any of their six test series since coach Brendon McCullum and captain Stokes have taken the helm.

Here's how to watch every ball of the India vs England 1st Test match online, plus how to watch cricket live streams, from anywhere and potentially for free.
