Indian actress Sridevi, Bollywood’s legend, died at the age of 54 after cardiac arrest, Indian media reported on Sunday.
Sridevi was attending a wedding in Dubai and died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack, her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor told the Indian Express.
In a career spanning five decades, Sridevi had worked in 300 of Bollywood films and was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honor in 2013. She was also popular in regional language films such as - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Sridevi took a break from films soon after she married producer Boney Kapoor in 1996.

“She was a veteran of the film industry, whose long career included diverse roles and memorable performances,” India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a tweet.
