Independent menswear retailer Terraces opens fifth store in Staffordshire

Clothing retailer Terraces has opened a new store in Staffordshire.

The company, which first launched in Stoke-on-Trent 20 years ago, has officially opened its doors at Newcastle-under-Lyme's Ironmarket.

The two-storey shop specialises in menswear - including the latest fashion from big-name brands such as Barbour and Pretty Green.

The new branch joins Terraces' growing portfolio of stores which include those in Hanley, Stafford and Affinity Staffordshire.

Store manager Jamie Green told StokeonTrentLive : "Terraces has gone from strength to strength as we’ve expanded and opened more stores.

"We liked the location and renovated it over six weeks before opening last month.

"It's close to our flagship store in Hanley, but there is a customer base this side of the city that doesn’t go to Hanley and vice versa."

He added: "We want to build relationships with customers so they come in again and again, we want them to identify with us.

"We're selling big brands but without the corporate feel. Retail is becoming faceless and we want to try to create a great shopping experience, give discounts and reward customers."
