INDEPENDENCE groups are set to gather in Troon this weekend to sail to Arran as part of a "sail to freedom" event.
Departing from Troon at 10.50am, Independence Live will be covering the event live with drone footage to capture activists on the CalMac ferry.
It is understood activists will gather in Brodick to socialise with other activists, taking advantage of the good weather.
The sailing has sold out of car spaces, with only foot passenger tickets still available.
However, other activists are travelling on later sailings.
Organisers on the Facebook event say the aim of the event is to take "as many pics as flood social media with them" and to host an event with "something a bit different" for the movement.
The last sailing returning to the mainland is 5.20pm.
