NEW DELHI: India pacer Navdeep Saini was part of the India's triumphant Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign in Australia during the 2020-21 season under Ajinkya Rahane's captaincy. Regrettably, it marked his final Test match as he sustained a groin injury during the series.
Making a comeback into the Test side after a long hiatus, the 30-year-old lanky pacer took to Twitter and shared his happiness.
Saini is part of the two-match Test series against the West Indies.
Saini, who has played two Tests, eight ODIs and eleven T20Is for India so far, shared a photo with India captain Rohit Sharma and captioned it: "One with the Kaptaan Sahab".
West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and opted to bat in the first Test.
