Incredible video shows camogie player swap hurl in full flight of play before striking on goal

This is the extraordinary moment a Camogie player switched her broken hurley with a new one in full flight before shooting on goal in a club match over the weekend.

Cait Devane from Clonoulty-Rossmore GAA club in Co Tipperary showed off her skills while playing Dunharra in the Senior championship semi-finals.

Picking the sliotar up from a scuffle of players Cait ran away from the chasing pack towards the sideline.

As she went to take her point Cait's own brother John threw a brand new hurl her way.

Cait - using her quick reflexes - caught the hurl before striking the sliotar towards goal.

Unfortunately the shot dropped a little bit short as the point would have went down in history.

Cait won't be too disappointed as her team eventually went on to win the game and have now reached the County final.

The video was captured by Sports Focus Photography who were amazed by the piece of skill.

They said: "I’ve been recording games for my club for 8 years & I’ve captured many extraordinary moments but my capturing of Cáit Devane collecting a fresh hurley in full flight today will be hard to top."
