Incredible Stranger Things themed house goes on sale - but you'll need a passport

If you're in the mood for a trip to the Upside Down, this house is perfect for you.

It is however in California - so you'll need a passport, but you are at least guaranteed a safe return home.

The very retro property has gone on the market for £342,000 ($450,000) – and it features plenty of nods to the hit Netflix show Stranger Things.

In Big Bear Lake, California, the home features plenty of quirky nods across its two units, each featuring one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge area.

It includes a famous alphabet wall, a Scoops Ahoy kitchen., with striped wallpaper, a retro stove and a mini arcade booth.

The lounge area has the famous alphabet and lightbulb wall, with matching wallpaper and a sofa from series one.

The fun continues in the amazing ‘upside down’ bathroom, which left people in stitches online.

One fan enthused: "Horror movie fans, step right this way."

Another joked: "I always wondered where the graphics department from Nickelodeon in the 80's lived."

A third added: "Perfect. No notes."

"It's like MTV and Nickelodeon had a love child," wrote another.

One joked: "'Hon? What do you think is most important for the kitchen? Cabinets, a smoke detector, or arcade closet?"

The bedroom also gives a nod to the show, with bedsheets and wallpaper matching Eleven’s shirts from over the seasons, as well as the famous quote “friends don’t lie” written in LED lights above the bed.

Meanwhile, the neighbouring unit focuses more on famous horror movies, with the kitchen featuring Nightmare on Elm Street with a Freddie Kruger statue.

The lounge has a scary movie theme with eyes for cushions as well as Scream masks, horror film posters and quotes on the walls.

The bathroom comes with a popular Goosebumps locker, film posters and jungle feature wall.

While the bedroom is decorated completely green, with a Creepshow cushion and the creature of the black lagoon painted on the walls.

Even though they were built in 1941, each unit has new kitchens, bathrooms, a concrete driveway, new flooring, lighting, doors and hardware.

Located near the shopping, restaurants and the lake, the units are situated a two-hour drive from Los Angeles.

The property is on the market with Re/Max Champions for $450,000.
