Incredible story of nine-year-old ITV Britain's Got Talent singer hailed 'the next Amy Winehouse'

She won the hearts of Britain's Got Talent viewers with her polite manners as she chatted with head judge Simon Cowell ahead of her performance. And then she floored fans and judges with her massive singing voice.

Immi Davis prompted Simon to remark "You're not human" following her belting rendition of I Put A Spell On You by Screaming Jay Hawkins. "How old are you? That is extraordinary," he said. She was then asked: "Are you sure you weren't miming?"

And BGT viewers watching at home also couldn't believe that Immi is just nine-years-old. @TheChauffeur_ tweeted: "This young lassie on #BGT 9 years old? Wow. Just wow. What a talent!!"

@Lucyyyyy_18 gasped: "No way she’s 9, she was incredible." @SamJohnsonxx praised: "This girl at 9 years old has a better voice that some of the female music artists out there today."

Other fans compared her voice to the late singing icon Amy Winehouse as she received four yeses. Annie exclaimed: "Omg the next Amy Winehouse." @awsleec tweeted: "This kid on #BGT reminds me of Amy Winehouse. Good set of pipes for a 9 year old." @nikkicould15 praised: "Young Amy Winehouse! Amazing talent!!" And @AlexClaridge said: "Go Immi! Her voice reminds me a bit of Amy Winehouse. "

According to Immi's official website she is a "nine-year-old aspiring Pop Star with dreams of becoming a household name." Immi, who lives near London with her mum, dad, older sister Tia and dog Star, has been singing since she was just three.

And she has been taking one to one singing lessons since the age of five, "which is also when she began practicing singing for an hour most days at home." Since Covid-19 hit, Immi has taken her daily singing practice live on Facebook.

Aside from Immi’s dreams of becoming a professional singer, she is "like any other typical nine year old little girl who loves life." She enjoys playing with her friends, has a fondness for all types of play including arts and crafts, imaginative play and having fun outside on her scooters, skateboard and bike. And she belongs to a local swimming club.

Immi has also been learning to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. And she has recently shown a flair for writing her own lyrics to songs and is keen to start recording her own material.
