The developer behind the Edinburgh St James development have shared incredible aerial photos that capture the scale of the project from the skies.
Edinburgh St James will span five floors when it opens in October, and is set to turn the capital into a prime shopping destination - with over 20 million visitors expected to visit a year.
With construction well under way ahead of the grand opening, it's difficult for locals on the ground to get an idea of the size of the development, which currently lies partly hidden behind advertisement boards on Leith Street.
But incredible snaps taken from the skies above Edinburgh gives residents a bird's-eye view of the project and provides a sense of what it may look like once it is completed.
What we know already...
The 1.7 million square feet Edinburgh St James will boast 85 new shops and be home to 30 new restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as Scotland’s first W Hotel, which includes a bar, outdoor terrace, restaurant and spa.
This will sit alongside a 75-room aparthotel, over 100 luxury apartments and nine new spaces for events taking place the city.
Martin Perry, Director of Development at Edinburgh St James, said: "The latest images of Edinburgh St James showcase the significant progress that has been made to date and bring the development to life ahead of opening the first phase in October this year."
