Incredible moment neighbours heckle 'hypocrite' Dominic Cummings over lockdown trip

Footage of Dominic Cummings returning home from Downing Street on Sunday ngiht shows people on his own street heckling the Number 10 advisor.

Cummings was branded a 'hypocrite' by the crowd of onlookers on his own doorstep.

The footage was filmed hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson backed the under-fire senior aide.

As he entered his home, shouts of "hypocrite", "resign" and "shame" could be heard from members of the public on the street.

Mr Cummings appeared not to respond to the heckling.

One woman could be heard shouting: "My mum’s terrified, my dad’s had three shoulder operations… she won’t even entertain me in her garden with a tent."

The woman, who was filming Mr Cummings on her phone as she spoke, could then be heard telling him: "I’m a single parent. I’ve had no childcare since the beginning of this whole mess, not that I can afford to pay any child care."

The latest scenes come after Mr Cummings was reported to police for an alleged breach of lockdown.

Robin Lees, 71, reported Mr Cummings after allegedly spotting him out in Barnard Castle, Co Durham on April 12.

In his report to Durham Police he describes the possible sighting of Mr Cummings, his wife and child approaching a grey Range Rover parked on the Sills between Ullathorne Rise and Gill Lane and gives the number plate.

He writes: “In the light of recent information I feel that as well as an important breach of the lockdown there may also have been concerns over Health Protection Regulations. I assume you are able to view CCTV to ascertain whether this vehicle travelled locally or from further away.”
