Kevin, who looked shocked in the video, was dressed in a high-vis and appeared to be at work when he got the confirmation from the UK lottery.
Scrunching his ticket in his shaking hand, he discovered that he became an instant millionaire on camera as he was surrounded by an ecstatic group of friends.
“Kevin, are you ready?” the operator on the other end asked.
“No, I don’t think I am,” Kevin said, making his friends laugh.
The operator on the line also laughed at this, and said: “I can confirm that you have won one million.”
The crowd around him erupts as the camera gets shaky upon hearing the news. The cameraman jumps to his feet in celebration.
“Oh my god,” is all Kevin can say, holding his face in his hands.
The video was posted on to TikTok on Wednesday and has since been viewed 2.7 million times.
And it has since turned out that the man in the video is ex Sheffield United star Terry Kennedy, who had to retire three years ago due to injury.
Born in Barnsley in the UK, he rose through the ranks at Sheffield United and spent 15 years at the club.
