Incredible kebabs will soon be served at one of Bristol city centre's most popular bars

One of Bristol's best pop-up restaurants will soon take up residence at one of the city centre's most popular bars.

Anyone who has tried one of Hoba Kebab's creations will tell you just how delicious they are - and soon they will be served in the bustling King Street bar Kongs.

Hoba Kebab started life as a market stall in 2017, trading at a number of food markets across the city including the Harbourside and Finzels Reach, before taking over the kitchens at various pubs.

It was most recently in situ at the Robin Hood on St Michael's Hill, which is where we gladly discovered it.

When we visited in February we praised the succulent pieces of chicken, which had clearly been marinated for 24 hours, and loaded dirty fries.

While there's no denying that the Robin Hood is a fantastic pub it's a little out of the way for many, but Kongs is slap bang in the heart of the action, meaning it will be easier for all of us to get our hands on Hoba's fantastic dishes.

The Hoba team shared the good news on their Facebook page, writing: "Yassssss you heard it right, from the 26th July we'll be the next residents of @kongsbristol kitchen. How exciting!"

The kitchen at Kongs was previously occupied by vegan burger specialists Bun Fiction, who can now be found at various food markets across Bristol, and before that Burger Theory, who are now regarded as one of Bristol's best burger purveyors with a restaurant on Baldwin Street.

Hoba Kebab will be moving into Kongs on July 26, so make sure you don't eat before popping in...
