An incredible James Rodriguez statistic has emerged which should help point to the kind of quality Everton have invested in.
The former Real Madrid ace completed his move to Goodison Park on Monday.
It was a landmark transfer pulled off by Carlo Ancelotti and co with Rodriguez ranking among the world's most talented footballers.
Rival fans were quick to point out the 29-year-old's shortcomings at the Bernabeu last term with the Colombia ace appearing just 14 times across the entirety of the campaign - scoring once and completing two assists.
Despite falling out of favour with Zinedine Zidane as Los Blancos claimed a 34th La Liga title - it is hard to ignore the attacking threat Rodriguez brings to the game.
His time at Porto came to an end in 2013 as Ligue 1 side Monaco snapped up a move for the fabled attacker.
The following campaign Real Madrid could not resist and Ancelotti - for the first time - landed the signing of Rodriguez.
Since then the superstar has won a plethora of major honours including two Champions League titles but has more often than he would have liked found himself playing a bit part role.
Even so, his stats are undeniably brilliant for the matches he did feature in - and this is something that should bode well for the next two seasons at Everton.
Opta point out that Rodriguez is one of just three midfielders in Europe's top five leagues who have racked up over 50 goals and 50 assists since the 2013/14 campaign.
The Colombian international has in that time scored 54 times and assisted 52 goals. A remarkable return.
Former Madrid team-mate Angel Di Maria and ex-Tottenham star Christian Eriksen are the only midfielders to have done more - with Di Maria scoring 83 goals and completing 54 assists.
Meanwhile, Eriksen has scored 64 times and has made the same number of assists as Rodriguez (52).
According to Transfermarkt, James has played a combined 162 times across his spells in Ligue 1, La Liga and the Bundesliga.
He will no doubt be a first-team starter week in and week out for Everton and these stats then point to the opportunity which awaits him in the Premier League.
His record clearly speaks for itself, and if he can start producing the kind of numbers he has at Monaco, Madrid and Munich, well, Everton fans will in for a real treat.
