Incredible footage shows trampoline blown on to M7 in Limerick as Storm Brendan hits Ireland

A trampoline was blown on to the M7 motorway outside Limerick city as Storm Brendan batters the country.

The footage posted on Twitter shows an upright trampoline obstructing the busy road at the exit for University Limerick.

Michael Finnan said on Twitter: "Anyone lose a trampoline?? One found on M7 just before UL exit into Limerick."

Met Eireann have warned that Storm Brendan may pose a "threat to life and property" to Ireland today as Status Orange warnings were issued.

Forecasters have warned of "extreme winds" with "severe and damaging gusts" ahead of the storm lashing the country today.

The public have been advised to avoid coastal areas if possible during the storm.

Met Eireann's Evelyn Cusack said "There is a danger of trees being uprooted and perhaps some structural damge", she revealed on RTE Radio 1's Morning Ireland.

An Orange weather warning is in place for Connacht, Kerry and Donegal this morning with a further Orange wind warning for the rest of the country to come into effect at 8am today.
