'Incredible' deal hailed by Billy Hogan as Liverpool make Nike kit announcement

Liverpool have announced that Nike will take over from New Balance as their official kit supplier from June 1 this year.

The American sportwear brand will produce kits for the Reds men's, women's and Academy sides, as well as the coaching staff, from the 2020/21 season onwards.

Billy Hogan, LFC’s managing director and chief commercial officer, said: “Our iconic kit is a key part of our history and identity.

"We welcome Nike into the LFC family as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner for the club, both at home and globally as we continue to expand our fanbase.

“As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions for growth, and we look forward to working with them to bring fans new and exciting products.

"“We’d like to thank New Balance for their support over the last few years and wish them well for the future."

The Nike deal is described as being a 'multi-year' partnership.

Liverpool will move into a new training facility in Kirkby next summer at the same time as the kit deal becomes active.

They also announced an update to their Anfield extension plans yesterday as a redeveloped Anfield Road stand took a step closer.
