Professor Branestawm is a weird professor because he is always trying out new inventions and sometimes they are already invented. Other than when the Professor gets a bit angry with the colonel in the first chapter, he is terrific. The Professor is also my favourite character in the whole book.
My favourite part in the story is when the housekeeper asks the professor how many lumps he wants in his tea. The professor just had a great, big fall so he said 'one on my arm and two on my legs!'
I really like the way that the author has made this book funny so children can enjoy it. I think the author is trying to achieve something that will make children laugh and giggle.
Although it was hilarious, I don't think that this book is for me. In some parts of the book there were quite a few words which would be difficult to understand for children. I think this book is mainly for children aged 9+ years old.
Out of ten, I would rate this book 7/10.
