'Increasing concern' for missing Scots woman after she vanished in the Highlands

Cops are growing 'increasing concerned' after a woman vanished in the Highlands over the weekend.

Michelle Williamson was reported missing from the Kinmylies area of Inverness since 8pm on Saturday.

Police say fears are growing for the 51-year-old and the force has issued a description to help find her.

She is described as a white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with short hair which was dyed purple on top. She was last seen wearing a black and white striped top and black leggings.

Michelle is believed to have been in the Fort Augustus and Invermoriston areas on Sunday with the intention of travelling to the Fort William area.

Inspector Graham Brown, of Inverness Police Station, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace Michelle, and we are becomingly increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“Anyone with any information that could assist us in tracing Michelle is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting incident 3698 of 17 July.”
