'Increasing concern' for woman who went missing from Edinburgh home amid 'personal issues'

Cops launched a hunt for a missing Scots woman who vanished from her home in Edinburgh.

Tara McFarlane had last been seen at 9.15am on Friday in the Corstorphine area of the capital.

Police say the 49-year-old has been experiencing 'personal issues' and they were keen to trace her to ensure her safety.

She is described as white, 5ft 6ins in height and of medium build with light brown and blonde shoulder-length hair.

She was wearing red boots, jeans and a grey jacket.

Inspector William Falconer of Wester Hailes Police Station said: “Tara was last seen in the Corstorphine area 9.15am on Friday morning.

"She headed for the west end area. She has not returned home and her family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.

“She has been dealing with some personal issues lately, and searches and enquiries are ongoing to trace her to ensure that she is safe and well.”

Police have since confirmed she has been found safe and well.
