Incoming Newcastle United director outlines 'wide and thorough vision' at St James' Park
Newcastle United director Majed Al Sorour has outlined both his immediate vision and aims for the future at St James' Park. The Saudi Golf Federation executive's arrival was announced via a Companies House document this week.
But the former Al Nassr player has been spotted sitting alongside Yasir Al-Rumayyan in recent home matches. United are yet to announce arrival officially but he is expected to work with co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi this summer.
Responding to fans online via Linkedin, Mr Al Sorour said: "Many thanks to you all for the wishes
"I’ve been on this assignment since December and not alone. "Team PIF, Amanda, Mehrdad, and his excellency with his wide and thorough vision.
"I’m very pleased that we have not only saved our team from relegation, but we may have the chance to finish top 10 in the Premier. "The work has just started and I and all of us look forward to the next season with god’s bless and hard work we will do lots more not only for the NUFC but for the whole city of Newcastle and it’s amazing people."
