'Incidents of hate-related graffiti' in Glasgow spark police probe

A man has been arrested after an investigation into "incidents of hate-related graffiti" in Glasgow.

The 62-year-old was arrested and charged following a probe into incidents of alleged hate-related graffiti in the Castlemilk area of the Southside.

Officers received a report of alleged graffiti on Carmunnock Road on Wednesday, April 30, shortly before 11pm.

The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Inspector Chris Thomson said: "Graffiti is a blight on the community and my local problem-solving team have been diligently responding to community concerns for this type of graffiti within the Linn council ward area over the past few months.

"Detailed work in this area, alongside partnership working, has successfully led to an arrest.

"I would like to thank the public for their assistance, and if anyone has any further information or concerns regarding any criminality, this can be raised with your local problem-solving team."
