Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Character Creation Guide

With the release of Rematch, EA FC 26, and now Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, football fans are in for a real treat this year. Each game is a league of its own, sharing one thing in common: fast-paced football action. All of these leave no stone unturned in fulfilling their purpose; however, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road surpasses its peers thanks to in-depth character creation and anime-style presentation.

Despite being in early access, the game offers an extraordinary experience. From basic cosmetic customization to full-on stats choices that impact gameplay, players can build an ultimate athlete for their desired role. With that in mind, here’s a quick guide that can provide a solid character-building foundation for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.

The game features loads of options when it comes to transforming your character’s appearance. These are purely cosmetic and do not impact gameplay. Here’s a quick overview of every customization element:

  • Style: This menu allows you to select the gender of your athlete. You have two choices: Boyish (male) and Girly (female).
  • Body Type: Allows you to select from three different body types: small, medium, and Large. Once chosen, you can also alter the size.
  • Face & Hairstyle: This menu is going to take a lot of your time, as there’s a lot to consider. You have command over face presets, face shape, skin tone, hairstyle, eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, ears, and features. Each aspect offers further customization options, including colors, styles, and dimensions.
  • Outfit: With the body and features finalized, the next station allows you to choose an outfit. Don’t expect a lot here, as you can only change collars, sleeves, and tuck or untuck your shirt.

There’s not much on the outfit side, but since the game is currently in early access, we hope to see more in the final release. Still, when combined, these elements enable players to create numerous unique character possibilities.

All Stats Customizations

Now this is where all the big stuff happens. When you reach the Stats screen, the game offers three aspects to tweak: Base Stats, Personality, and Voice. Whether directly or indirectly, the changes you make in this segment impact your gameplay and player behaviour. Here’s what you can expect.

Base Stats

These are the foundations of your athlete. In the Base Stats, every decision contributes heavily to the way you behave on-field. For maximum performance, it’s better to approach this thoughtfully.

Elements

The first thing you’ll come across in this menu is the Elements. There are four of these, with each weaker and stronger against the others. It’s like rock, paper, scissors:

  • Wind: Strong against the Mountain, but weak against the Forest.
  • Forest: Strong against the Wind, but weak against the Fire.
  • Mountain: Strong against the Fire, but weak against the Wind.
  • Fire: Strong against the forest, but weak against the Mountain.

Main Position

After these, the next step is to choose your character’s defining position, known as the Main Position. This will be the primary role and will have a direct impact on the athlete’s abilities:

  • Forward (FW): Let you become an attacker that the team can rely on for scoring.
  • Midfielder (MF): Makes you a bridge between attack and defense.
  • Defender (DF): Helps you guard against vulnerabilities near the goal site.
  • Goalkeeper (GK): Prevents the enemy from scoring.

Sub-Position

Why stick to a single position when you can have flexibility for another? Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road allows you to select a secondary position that can come in handy during a sticky situation. You can choose any of the above, excluding the main one.

Build Type

With a Build Type, you can expect an edge when certain conditions meet during a match. To improve team-wide, consider building a squad with the same Build Type to amplify the results.

Here are all the builds available in the game:

  • Breach: Turns your shot into a full-on, dangerous attack for the goalkeeper.
  • Counter: Provides a stat boost by blocking the ball without catching.
  • Bond: Make consistent passes and charge up for a powerful shot in return.
  • Tension: As you play and increase the Tension Meter, the stats increase.
  • Rough Play: Tackles are rough, but with this build type, you can expect the Foul Rate to decrease for safe and consistent rough action.
  • Justice: Just keep it clean and maintain higher stats throughout a match.

Personality

After Base Stats, the next screen is for the character’s personality. You can use two different personalities, each defining behavior during celebrations and poses. Below are all of them:

  • Energetic
  • Innocent
  • Goofball
  • Cool
  • Smart
  • Flashy
  • Sarcastic
  • Zealous
  • Compassionate
  • Bold
  • Collected
  • Graceful
  • Reserved
  • Easygoing
  • Mysterious
  • Timid
  • Brooding
  • Stubborn
  • Nerdy
  • Brash
  • Needy
  • Refined

With 22 unique choices, it’s easier for players to mimic almost every type of on-field behavior and attitude.

Voice

Last but not least, voice is the most crucial factor in portraying one’s energy. Fortunately, the game’s Avatar Editor has got you covered in this regard. Regardless of your chosen gender, players can still use either a Boyish or a Girly voice.

With each speech, you have two different options, A and B, both giving off different vibes. Additionally, you can even choose any of the 22 personalities as well to alter the voice according to the character in your mind.

With that, the guide comes to an end. Those who are willing to put their heart and soul into their character will have to wait a while until they wrap up their avatar with a catchy player and shirt name.
