Scone Palace have got something entirely new to offer visitors who have an interest in sprucing up their gardens this Jubilee weekend.
Friday and Saturday will see the inaugural Scone Palace Garden Fair welcome visitors from across the country who are interested in gardening but also enjoy shopping, eating out, and bringing the family together for a memorable day.
Head gardener Brian Cunningham, of BBC’s Beechgrove Garden, will be on hand to answer any questions and offer advice with a passion for all things gardening.
Specialist garden nurseries will be selling a range of diverse plants and craft stalls will be offering stunning ideas for home and garden.
Eating out will include refreshments from The Camper Bar Company with their 1972 VW Camper Van named Ruby, as well as Rolling Stone Catering, the Scone Palace Horsebox and Old Kitchen Coffee Shop. There will be entertainment for the children with a Kids Garden Workshop from noon to 4pm, as well as a bungee trampoline and inflatable slide available all day. For the adults there will be a jazz band, Tempo de Groove, performing from noon to 4pm.
An event spokesperson said: “The grounds of Scone Palace in Perthshire cover more than 100 glorious acres and ticket entry to Scone Palace Garden Fair will allow you to enjoy the Fair and to tour the grounds and see the Victorian Pinetum, the Murray Star Maze, the Walled Garden restoration project, and the Kitchen Garden, making it a perfect day out for all the family!”
