Unpleasant stuff happens. People lose businesses, they lose money and sometimes they're hit by comments from aggrieved staff and suppliers. If you're lucky it all happens in private.
One individual who saw her business go spectacularly wrong in public - when she'd used her house as security - was Rachel Elnaugh, who ran Red Letter Days until its very public administration earlier this year. You may also know her from the "Dragon's Den" series on entrepreneurship. So what was it like watching your business collapse and then seeing sections of the media pick over your business dealings and private life afterwards?
Rachel Elnaugh has spoken to The Guardian's new Business Sense supplement - an evolution of the Business Solutions supplement - which will be in tomorrow's issue (dated 29 September).
