In order to beat the Chiefs, Texans players and coaches shared their keys to the game.
1. romeo crenneL: stop chiefs wr tyreek hill

“It’s good to have the options, but I don’t know who we have that can run Tyreek. That guy’s really fast, and so we’re going to have to – I don’t know what we’re going to have to do to try to slow him down.”
2. deshaun watson: focus on the present

“The biggest thing is really just kind of focusing on the task at hand. We can’t worry about next week because next week is not promised. So, we just take it one play at a time, one snap at a time. The most important play is always the next play, and the most important meeting or most important thing throughout the week is the next task at hand. We’re just going to focus and take it one step at a time until game time hits, and then we’re just going to take it from there. That’s the biggest thing.”
3. deshaun watson: take advantage of rb carlos hyde

“Carlos has been a heck of an addition for this team, for this organization. He’s been running hard, he’s been doing whatever we ask him to do as an offense, as a team, and definitely been doing his job to his highest. I’m blessed to have him as my running back and as a teammate, as a brother, as a friend. He’s definitely improving and he’s looking forward to the challenge on Sunday.”
4. j.j. watt: be sound and execute your assignments

“They’ve got Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, all those guys. They have a great football team and they do a lot of great things with them. Extremely talented quarterback, they can get the ball a lot over the place, he can make things happen and they do a great job mixing it up and having – they’ve got playmakers all over who can do many different things. So, it’s just a matter of being sound, executing your assignments and doing your job.”
