Well, not quite, but this gambling wheeze is back in the black thanks to a wee punt on Germany to win 4-1 at 14/1. Shame it was quite so wee, in fact. But my famed [eh?] touch [you what?] appears to be back, so I shall of course be spending some money on the result tonight. I've not plumped for anything yet because I think it's going to be a hell of a tight game, indeed I may wait until half-time. But I'm leaning towards Norway, they've got a great record against the Swedes and the girls in yellow haven't looked on top form so far to me.
Now for Fantasy Euro 2005 news...
We have another new leader, Rebecca Wingfield, who has stormed into a three point lead over Simon Williams in second place. Paul Stevenson is getting comfy in third, Fabio Kadow is still in fourth and J T makes up the top five with 176 points. My Germany-packed squad didn't quite do the business - what with having nothing to do, the defence I was relying on for full marks bagged a mere two each. Thank goodness for Inka Grings, is all I can say. Blogtastic now lie 12th, a mere eight points off the leading pack. It's all to play for, and no mistake.
