LUCKNOW: The city recorded its second-highest number of vaccinations this month on Saturday, when 26,051 people turned up to get the jab at 91 centres. While 7,378 people took the second dose, 18,673 got the first shot.
Among those vaccinated, 55% (14,379 ) were men and 45% (11,672) women. Those aged 18-44 years got 58% of the doses, 45-59 years age group got 31% and elderly10%.
With inoculation of 1,025 more, the number of vaccinations administered at the centre in Naka Gurudwara crossed the 26,000-mark. “We have been running the camp for the past 40 days and people prefer to come here because of the facilities,” said Lucknow Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee president Rajendra Singh Bagga.
3 new Covid cases
Three more cases of Covid-19 were reported on Saturday. While no death due to the disease occurred for the 25th consecutive day, three patients recovered in the past 24 hours. The active cases were 86. Meanwhile, 12 more patients of black fungus infections were discharged from KGMU after recovery.
One dies of Covid
One person succumbed to Covid in Lakhimpur Kheri on Saturday. The day, however, recorded a drop in fresh cases with 42 new Covid patients in UP in last 24 hours. Now, there are 932 active cases in UP. Meanwhile, 99 people recovered from the disease in last 24 hours with the recovery rate recorded at 98.6%.
