West Ham's 2019/20 season preparations have got underway on Monday as the majority of the first team squad returned to the Rush Green training ground to begin pre-season training.
New recruits David Martin and Roberto both met their new teammates for the first time following their free transfers from Millwall and Espanyol respectively as Manuel Pellegrini boosted his goalkeeping ranks behind number one Lukasz Fabianski.
Players who missed significant game time last season also reported for training in a bid to prove their fitness ahead of the new campaign. New Zealand defender Winston Reid was one of them, as was Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko and also midfielder Carlos Sanchez.
Reece Oxford was also back at Rush Green with his future still up in the air after a permanent move to German side Augsburg collapsed last month following a six-month loan spell in Germany.
Manuel Lanzini was put through his paces after missing six months of last season before returning for the last eight weeks of the campaign and will bid to prove he is back to full tilt over the next few weeks.
Other players whose futures who are up in the air, Sam Byram, Pedro Obiang and Carlos Sanchez, were also at the training ground on Monday morning to be put through their paces.
