In Pictures: Sir David Attenborough’s charming friendship with animals

Broadcaster, naturalist and national treasure Sir David Attenborough turns 100 on May 8.

He has had various animals named in his honour, including a butterfly and the ghost shrimp from Madagascar, and has campaigned to raise awareness around the climate crisis and the effect it is having on the natural world.
