The Covid-19 pandemic didn't stop the biggest names in cinema from heading to Cannes, where the 74th edition of the world-famous film festival is taking place – and its famed red carpet is once more lined with stars.
The Cannes Film Festival rolled out the red carpet for a fifth day with the premiere of 'Peaceful', a drama by French director Emmanuelle Bercot starring cinema legend Catherine Deneuve.
US actor and director Sean Penn walked the red carpet for the premiere of his latest film 'Flag Day', in which he co-stars with his daughter, Dylan Penn. The film, which tells the story of a female journalist who idolises her conman father, sees his daughter star in her first major lead role.
Penn, Deneuve and Vanessa Paradis were among the stars who posed in front of the tuxedoed photographers and eager onlookers.
