In pictures: Kilmarnock golfers return to the fairways as lockdown measures ease

Eager golfers got Augusta-style weather for their glorious return to the fairways last week.

As coronavirus lockdown measures were relaxed slightly on Friday, some of Kilmarnock’s biggest golf fans headed straight for the early-bird tee-off.

And while the calibre on show wouldn’t quite meet the quality on show at the Masters, the passion and enthusiasm for the sport was just the same.

Our photographer Steve McKendrick headed to the first tee at Caprington Golf Club on Friday morning to capture some of the town’s dedicated golfers getting back into the swing of things.

Annanhill Golf Club, Rowallan Castle Golf Club and Loudoun Gowf Club all reopened to members on Friday too.
