The schools have started up again in Bristol, with a fresh generation of excited kids throwing on their uniforms for the first time for real.
We have honoured the occasion by dipping into the archives and pulling out a series of Reception class photos from 11 years ago.
Among the schools featured are Colston Primary School, Holymead Infant School, Brockridge Infants School and Ashley Down Infant School - but there are also many more.
