In pictures: England World Cup squad arrive at St George’s Park ahead of Qatar departure

England’s World Cup squad reported to St. George’s Park on Monday, with manager Gareth Southgate confident he has avoided further injuries during the final weekend of domestic football.

Surprise call-up James Maddison was forced off before the half-hour mark after opening the scoring in Leicester’s win at West Ham on Saturday but has described the issue as a "small problem", and is expected to be fine.

Southgate’s 26 players were due to arrive at the FA’s Midlands base at 10am before medical checks, meetings and a light recovery session on the pitches.

They fly to Doha first thing on Tuesday morning and their first proper training session at base Al Wakrah, south of Doha, is set to be Wednesday morning. England begin their tournament against Iran on Monday before meeting the United States on Friday.

The final group game will see them meet neighbours Wales on Tuesday November 29.
