Irish actress Kerry Condon is set to star alongside Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan in a new movie set to be filmed in Ireland this month.
Making up some of Ireland’s most famous Hollywood exports, the talented group of Irish stars will return home this month to join forces on Martin McDonagh's new film The Banshees of Inisherin.
The flick, which follows the story of a pair of lifelong friends on a remote Irish island, will begin filming on Inis Mór and Achill Islands later this month.
The new project will see Gleeson, Farrell and McDonagh reunited once again, after they struck comedy gold together on In Bruges in 2008.
The winning combination of talents saw Farrell bag a Golden Globe for his performance in the film, whilst Gleeson was also Golden Globe-nominated, and McDonagh Oscar-nominated for his screenplay.
Meanwhile, the new billing will see Tipperary native Condon reunited with the Oscar winning director, after previously starring in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and his acclaimed plays The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Cripple of Inishmaan.
US entertainment industry publication Deadline reports Condon will play Farrell’s sister in the new film.
A description of the film says: "A pair of lifelong friends on a remote Irish island find themselves at an awkward time in their relationship when one of them no longer wants to be friends.”
