Jude Law is currently in negotiations to star in writer and director David Mamet's version of the classic Jekyll and Hyde story, to be called Diary of a Young London Physician. Law would play the dual roles in the period drama alongside Penelope Cruz, who is being tipped to play the female lead.
Alan Bates and Diana Rigg, the veteran British actors, are to star in a new black comedy, The Anarchists, directed by Sarah Gavron. The British movie boasts an all-star cast including Sean Arnold and Jayne Ashbourne and centres on an anti-authoritarian family whose values are challenged by a mysterious stranger.
