Saudi air-hostesses will start working on the Flynas airline this month after completing a training program.

Flynas announced Sunday that it has graduated its first batch of Saudi air-hostesses.

The graduates are now ready to take their first flights this month as part of the airline’s ongoing program to nationalize aviation jobs and empower women, it said in a statement.

Flynas said Saudi hostesses are ambassadors between Flynas and travelers to maintain their safety and comfort.

The statement added that this step aims to empower Saudi women to play an important role in the evolution of Saudi Arabia in various fields.

It stressed that Flynas is the first Saudi national carrier to nationalize Saudi women jobs as part of the air hospitality field and the future pilots programs.

The program of air-hostesses aims to attract over 300 Saudi youths from both genders within two years, it said, explaining that working hours and appropriate uniforms complying with the Saudi traditions will be considered for women.

Flynas said an applicant should hold at least a high school certificate and have a height and weight that match international aviation standards. They must also be fluent in English and hold the Saudi nationality.
