Imrandd wins £1.5 million worth of new business as demand shifts

Data intelligence and engineering company Imrandd has secured new business worth more than £1.5m since the beginning of the year, winning work outwith its traditional oil and gas markets.

Revenue has increased by 12% in the past 12 months with 20% coming from new business.

Imrandd has also increased its workforce by a quarter and plans to add further headcount in 2021 as it ramps ups its internationalisation plans.

The Aberdeen-headquartered business has been awarded contracts by several global oil and gas upstream operators in the UK and internationally, as well as work with new customers in downstream and utilities.

It stated that the contracts, which range from small scopes to fully competitive tenders, signal a renewed approach by traditional heavy industries to consider technology adoption, digitisation and improved use of data to assure the continued viability of ageing assets.

Imrandd’s advanced analytics solutions provide faster, simpler and more cost-effective ways of deciphering difficult asset management problems that were previously too challenging to solve.

Work includes integrity management reviews, fitness for service and life extension, to data extraction, machine learning and predictive modelling.

Chris Blake, head of new business at Imrandd, said: “There’s been an uptake in the demand for our services in recent months as asset owners become more aware of our solutions and the significant efficiencies we can achieve.

“While traditionally our experience was gleaned in oil and gas, increasingly we are seeing demand for our services in other industries.

“As Imrandd continues to grow, we expect to further diversify our support and technology into clean energy, with the goal of helping our customers achieve net zero emissions.”
