LIVE music will return to Newcastle's Grand Hotel next Tuesday beginning with the Adam Miller Trio.
The Newcastle Improvised Music Association's Tuesday jazz night at The Underground has been in recess since the beginning of COVID-19, but finally organisers have reached a point where the beloved night of entertainment can operate within the restrictions.
Miller and his bandmates Jarrod Gibson (bass) and James Edge (drums) will perform on the opening night, followed by indie-jazz duo Bravo Victor (February 9), Leo Larratt (February 16) and the Steph Russell Band (February 23).
"There's definitely been a difficulty for music that exists in a small room and more intimate things, but we're excited to bring it back," Miller said.
