Arsenal supporters have been reacting to reports that the club are preparing to make a move for Ben White this summer.
According to The Athletic, White has emerged as a 'concrete target' this summer with Mikel Arteta keen to bolster his defensive options as the Gunners look for a much improved 2021/22 campaign.
However, there is yet to be any official contact between Arsenal and Brighton over White, whose form was rewarded with a call-up to Gareth Southgate 's 26-man England squad for Euro 2020 recently.
The 23-year-old still has three years remaining on his deal at the Amex Stadium and is reportedly expected to cost in the region of £40-50million.
The Gunners currently have Rob Holding, Gabriel Magalhaes, Calum Chambers and Pablo Mari as centre-back options going into the 2021/22 season, with David Luiz announcing his departure upon the expiry of his contract later this month.
So the reports that Arteta and Edu are 'preparing' an offer for White has left some Arsenal supporters excited.

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber recently admitted that the Seagulls will allow their top players to leave the club if the "right offer" comes in for their services.
This also applies for midfielder Yves Bissouma, who has also been heavily linked with a summer switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Barber said: "We know some of our best players aren't going to be with us forever and, if the right offer comes along and they want to leave, then they can go."
White is reportedly a target for Liverpool and Manchester United, though, who can offer the England defender Champions League football next season which could complicate things for Arsenal.
