'Important cogs' - Sabri Lamouchi's message after winning January's manager of the month

Sabri Lamouchi has reacted to winning January's Championship manager of the month award.

The Nottingham Forest manager has clinched the division's prize for the second time this season having also been awarded the honour in September.

Lamouchi has steered the Reds to fourth place after 30 matches in his first season in charge, five points off the top of the League.

Forest host Leeds United, in second and five points ahead of Lamouchi's side, tomorrow evening (5.30pm) in a mouth-watering battle.

Despite the Reds' good run of form last month, they went unbeaten and won three games out of five, Forest head into that match on the back of a defeat having lost to Birmingham 2-1 last weekend.

But that doesn't detract from the hard work put in during January, laying the foundations for a thrilling final 16 games of the campaign.

“January has been a good month for us and we hope to continue that form into February," Lamouchi said.

"This award reflects all the hard work my staff and the players have put in.

"We win, draw and lose as a team so it is important for me to include them as we are all important cogs in the machine.“
