Newcastle United have been granted an extension for the publication of their latest financial accounts.
The Magpies and Crystal Palace are yet to publish their 2019/20 financials, and were previously working to a June 30 deadline after businesses were handed a three-month extension in the face of Covid-19 delays.
However, an update from Companies House on Monday has confirmed Newcastle requested and have been permitted an extension for the accounting period until July 31.
This means United now have a further month to file the financials for the delayed 2019/20 season, although the financial penalty for missing the deadline is minimal.
It also means the accounts will provide a greater picture of the initial damage caused by the first nationwide lockdown which caused the three-month suspension of the Premier League.
Project Restart saw Newcastle play out their final nine league fixtures behind closed doors in June and July, as well as the eagerly-anticipated FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester City.
The Magpies subsequently played the entire 2020/21 campaignin the absence of supporters, with 10,000 fans making their long-awaited return for the final home fixture against Sheffield United.
The latest Companies House filing reads: "The accounting reference period ending 30/06/2020 is extended so as at to end on 31/07/2020.
"Subsequent periods will end on the same day and month in future years."
